Growing up in the Midwest I was always inspired by art and community. I grew up testing many different mediums of art with my sister and our aunt, who had a love for creating in sustainable & unique ways. She passed when I was young, and my sister and I both worked to embrace her memory by pursuing advocacy through our creative passions.

I find myself constantly inspired by those who create. Many are not as fortunate as those of us who can pursue art through their work, which inspires me to create opportunities for people to try their chance at self-expression through different mediums. 

I found my way into the beauty industry almost by accident... I knew I wanted to learn a skill and find something that gave me an avenue to income & independence to pursue many different passions and projects. I never knew what I was getting into... a community that so many have turned to in the face of adversity or challenge, with obligatory open-mindedness and acceptance yet teaches self-love & mutual respect; an industry which is rooted deep in human history and sits as a symbol, one which asks to be challenged within its own definition: beauty.... it can be external, but we find the most beautiful things through perspective & connection. We work on the external but we connect with the people in our space. Beauty is found in any and all things, and part of the energy I promote in my work is that which embodies one's most unique and genuine self. Providing a sense of confidence and understanding while embracing the qualities they most identify with.

I believe that the connections we make are at the heart of where true beauty is. Really seeing each other, gaining perspective, humility, and embracing change and difference with an open mind and a loving heart. How we survive in a world like the one we have is through connection & community, mutual aid & accessibility, humble hearts & open minds. I believe building this comes through acts as simple as taking care of your hair, calming & connecting the mind & body, making & sharing art, and creating & communicating with others. 

This journey is about learning and improving as I work to serve others. This brand is about joining together with creative and authentic people to form beautiful & meaningful connections that produce amazing outcomes.  I love working behind the chair, and believe the relationships I have built over the last decade in the beauty industry are what have given me the knowledge & confidence to pursue the additional programs & projects I have.  As I grow, so does my ability to advocate, create, and give back.
